There is a lot to say about mental health therapy. Before we get into that, I think it's important to know a bit about the person who will be performing therapy with you. My name is Christopher, but you can call me Chris.

Education

I graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology from Flagler College in Saint Augustine, FL and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in Tampa, FL.

Homegrown

I currently practice in and reside in Historic Brooksville, FL with my wife, our 5 cats and a dog in a historic home that I am slowly renovating. Although I did not grow up in Brookville, I grew up in Hudson where I grew an affinity toward the the old architecture located in Brooksville.

Experience

I have worked in numerous positions in this field from psychological research, an aide in mental health hospitals, a Clinical Director at Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities and of course, as a mental health therapist. I focus all of my effort on my private practice now, also known as BeeHappy, to ensure that I am providing my clients with the proper care and attention they deserve.

I have experience working with individuals of all ages struggling with negative self-talk, low self-esteem, substance use, challenging irrational beliefs, anxiety, history of trauma, sexual dysfunctions, motivation enhancement and communication improvement.

Modalities Used

I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, client-centered therapy, positive psychology and motivational interviewing techniques when working with my clients. I am an integrative therapist, meaning, all therapy I perform is molded to the client specifically.

I offer therapeutic services to anyone living in the state of Florida through the use of Zoom telehealth practices. If you are in the city of Brooksville, FL, I can meet with you at your place of residence.

The world of telehealth has really changed the game for those of us attempting to meet the needs of our busy schedule whether it be due to family, work or something else entirely. Not to mention, the comfort of being able to have therapy from your living room couch.

'Every client has an initial session where the therapist and the client can meet together to ensure that the therapeutic relationship is the 'right fit'. During that first session, an individualized treatment plan will be formed based off the needs of the individual, not just cookie cut.'
